With  two young boys this really is a family focused business and we put our clients at the very heart of everything we do. Sohail and Abra’s progressive approach can be felt at every touchpoint in the service offered to clients.

Ashworths opticians are part of a group of independent opticians, with significant growth plans over the next 10 years. Owned by husband and wife duo Sohail and Arbra Khan, both qualified optometrists, their vision is to retain all the service and personal touches of an independent and to leverage the buying power of a large group to enhance frame choice, contact lens trials, children eye services and above all technology to stay at the cutting edge of eye health and  vision care, 

Our Customer-Centric Service

  • Introduced state of the art eye OCT testing technology, to give the customer the most comprehensive eye health check available
  • Longer appointment time, we spend more time with our customers in order to thoroughly check eye health and to focus on any changes in vision and the impact this may be having on lifestyles 
  • Early detection focus, spending time to spot any potential eye conditions
  • Focus on a customer’s style preferences, offering sit-down dispensing and taking time to look at frame styles and offering a great choice of colours and shapes
  • Contact lens free trial, encouraging customers who may be unsure of whether or not to try contact lenses, we help them every step of the way
  • Free children’s eye test, evidence shows 1.6million school age children in the UK have an undetected eye condition so we are keen to encourage parents to book an appointment for their child. Many parents would also like to understand more about contact lens suitability for their children, particularly for sports and we fit lenses to children as young as 8.

The Role

  • Support your team and deliver the best service standards
  • Delivering first class eyecare for our clients
  • Using our full suite of technology, deliver a client centric 45 minute eye test 
  • Using our digitised patient record system, maintain meticulous client details
  • Implement our exceptional handover to OA
  • Work closely with the practice manager to deliver ever-improving client experience

The Person

Qualified Optometrist with a minimum of one years experience ideally gained working in an independent practice.

A qualified DO – you will have gained your optical experience in a customer led environment, preferably a premium independent where you have demonstrated ongoing personal development.
